Four-hundred and forty-three million school days are lost each year due to water-related diseases. Children around the world are going to school without clean water and sanitation, which means they are more likely to be sick, causing their education to suffer. Your generosity has helped change that statistic: This fall, as kids head back to school, the kindness and generosity of our supporters fully funded two new water projects for two schools in the Central African Republic!

When you help to drill a new well for a school, it becomes an investment in children and their futures. Our Country Director, Jay Hocking, was able to visit the work in the Central African Republic and document the impact that this has had on the beginning of their new school year. Their teacher, a woman named Clementine, shared about how hard it was to get water during the school days before their new well.

A sincere thank you for clean water!

“Really, I don’t know how to express the joy of my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you, may God bless your workers, and all your leaders, for the water you’ve brought here. They say, “Water is Life.”… I call blessings upon you!”

Your generosity will go directly to help our local teams gear up and reach school children across Central Africa with clean, safe water in 2018. Your donations to Water for Good have a lasting effect on the lives of school children all across Central Africa — for this year and for many years to come!

This holiday season, we echo Clementine’s blessings and gratitude. Thank you for joining us in this mission to save lives and invest in kid’s futures in one of the most forgotten countries in the world.

“Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.”

— John F. Kennedy

We can build on this progress, and 2018 could be the most impactful year ever: We aim to drill 80 new water wells focused on schools and health clinics. But this isn’t just about 80 wells. Together, we can bring water to every school in one region of the country by 2020, and to the whole country by 2030.

Please make your family’s end of the year donation today!
