Our 67-year-old founder, Jim, recently traveled to the CAR.
Our whole team could feel Jim’s excitement as his planned trip grew closer and it appeared that he was actually going to be able to make it to the country he loves so much. It had been a whole year since he was face to face with our maintenance and drilling teams. As one of the best mechanics known in the country, the guys were anxiously awaiting his guidance on a few trucks that needed his magic touch.
You may be asking yourself WHY would a 67-year-old journey to a remote country in the middle of a global pandemic and national rebel activity? Because he’s committed to the people in the CAR. Unless you’re planning on taking a 23-hour flight to the CAR to see the progress yourself, we have no real, tangible way to show you the extreme difference your generosity is making.
What we do have to show you is passion which has been passed down from Jim to our whole team. Whether it’s a pandemic, civil war, or rebels, we aren’t leaving this country until there is sustainable clean water for each person, and we couldn’t do this without your help.
Jim (Baba Jim as they call him in the CAR) made it back home to Indiana safely, leaving several fixed trucks, a newly drilled well, and lifted spirits in his wake.
