The water crisis is solvable

Imagine this. Each morning you walk 30 minutes to collect water from a muddy stream that will most likely bring disease to your family.

Now imagine your village finally received a well to access the clean water right below your feet. The new well has greatly increased the quality of life for your community, but months later, a simple screw went loose, and the well no longer works. Your village doesn’t have a way to fix it, so your family must go back to drinking dirty water.

Unfortunately, non-functional wells are a reality. More than 60 percent of wells are not functioning at any given time. We want to change this, to provide long-term sustainability. Ninety-five percent of our wells are currently functional.

At Water for Good, we know maintenance MUST be a part of the solution.

Barthelemy on his maintenance moto route

“I enjoy the thankfulness people show when I am repairing their pumps. Having clean water saves the villagers from drinking from the forest.”

Barthélemy- Moto Maintenance, Team Member

“When we were drinking water from the bush, there was a lot of illness. After we got our well, the children are healthy, we all are healthy. We don’t get sick nearly as often.”

Nicole- Gamboula, Resident

“As grassroots people, we appreciate grassroots organizations directly involved in work that needs to be accomplished. I don’t think any other team could have affected as much permanent change in the Central African Republic as they have. The name says it all.”

Local Water Heroes

Meet Virgile

He manages our stockroom and is a huge part of our sustainability plan. He makes sure the pump parts are kept available for our maintenance team in order to keep our water wells working.

Our unique approach

WE DRILL

We drill and maintain water wells in the second poorest country in the world, the Central African Republic. By keeping clean water flowing here, we are showing we can do it anywhere.

WE MAINTAIN

Our local maintenance team travels to the water points to assure the clean water continues to flow.

WE SCALE

Once the wells are in place, we then move onto the next area. We will continue to scale our work until we reach the entire country.

WE COMMIT

To keeping the water flowing, for good!

Our monthly givers, the Rainmakers, keep the clean water flowing month after month.
Join them for as little as $5 a month.
